Ship Catalog [ #431]

the ship got hit by an astroid which left it in a critical condition.

the doors are not working and three crewmates got trapped, each in a room.

we need around five minutes before landing on the nearest planet, but we don't know if we can make it in time

  • Use E to interact with tasks, some tasks can't be used unless holding a specific Item
  • Use I to hold and throw nearby Items
  • Use numbers 1 , 2, 3 to switch between crewmates

[we didn't have the time to put an end or victory. So currently you can play until you lose]

How To Play

switch between crewmates to manage critical tasks and stabilize the ship, each task and how to deal with it : 

  • fuel : grab the fuel buckets from the second floor and deliver it to the third floor, fill it up from the fuel source and deliever it to the first floor to be used in the fuel tank.
  • electricity : when electricity cuts off, some tasks will not work anymore until you fix the generator, go to the generator in the second floor and pull on it a couple times until it works
  • oxygen : oxygen can only be delivered to one floor at a time, and the other floors will lose oxygen gradually, use the oxygen pipes in the first floor to change oxygen routes every once a while.. there will be dots and bars to indicate the direction of the floors and amount of oxygen left.
  • reactor : the reactor heats up fast, fill a water bucket from the water source in the third floor and throw it on the reactor to cool it down.
  • Crystal : the crystal plays a crucial role in stabilizing the ship, keep it stabilized by pressing the letters displayed at the crystal control panel, but be careful not to press the wrong letter or the crystal will  be destabilized even more.
  • The shelf : you can pick up items from here, and you can put them back which is good for organization
  • Items Transfer : the bars on the walls can be used to transfer Items from one floor to the other by interacting while holding the desired item
  • navgation : the ship has a drift in the steering wheel, re adjust the course every now and then

Theme

The theme for the game jam was "empty, but not alone" which was reflected in the game both as a story and as a gameplay where each crewmate was alone in a floor, yet not alone as a whole because collaboration is needed for the mission to succeed and staying together is most important when it's hard to be.

Assets

all the visuals and coding used was made by us during the game jam period. all the sounds were from Freesound.org and mixkit.co and under free use.
